Switchbacks FC Say Goodbye to Defender Oskar Agren as He Gets Recalled Back to San Jose
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 16th) – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced today the San Jose Earthquakes had recalled defender Oskar Agren for the remainder of the Major League Soccer season.
“It’s with mixed emotions I leave Colorado Springs and the Switchbacks for this time. I’ve truly enjoyed my time around my teammates, staff, and fans for the past six months,” said Agren. “At the same time, I’m very excited to go back to San Jose and the Earthquakes to finish the season there. I’ll be following the playoff push from California with a lot of excitement. Thank you all for this time!”
Agren had a phenomenal season with the Switchbacks, starting in 20 out of 21 appearances for the club. Agren held the highest passing accuracy rate on the team at 89.9%. He also won a total of 70 duels, had 17 interceptions, and won 11 of 16 tackles.
“Oskar [Agren] has a fantastic footballing mind who has shown a commitment and real professionalism while he was here with us,” said Switchbacks Head Coach Stephen Hogan. “We want to wish him all the best returns to San Jose as an improved player with real ambitions to make them and himself better.”
