Colorado Springs, CO (April 20, 2016) – The Colorado Springs Switchbacks team has been promoting health, fitness and exercise at three local community centers for the past several weeks.
Meadows Park, Deerfield Hills and Turman Elementary have welcomed the players to their facilities to engage with the elementary school kids that partake in the after school programs. Topics have included the importance of exercise and nutrition and why stretching is important before any physical activity.
Participation in 30-40 minutes of activity, soccer and also some dodgeball, has been a fun and engaging way for players to give back to the community and for the community to be involved with the players.
